Windows 10: Network drivers both wifi and lan were not working in windows 10.There is no way connecting...

There is no ethernet and wifi option showing up in network and sharing in settings and home screen.

I have uninstalled restarted my windows many a times.But nothing is working.


Nothing shows up when i tried ipconfig.


There is a caution symbol visible in network in device manager.

So no way I am connected to internet in my pc.

Windows update breaks WIFI and LAN network connections

After applying the latest anniversary windows update my system loses all network access WIFI and LAN

The network connections page is empty! Totally stuck, luckily had a restore point which restores connectivity.

Observations

• WIFI card in device in device manager
• Device working properly
• Nothing in network center (should be)
• Ipconfig /all shows my Wifi afapter but it says Media disonnected.
• Ping always says Transmit failure
• Device is Realtek and it had USB ports which still works
• Restore to pre update fixes problem although Network still looks odd

Tried

• Restarting
  
  Removing and reinstalling device
• Disabling windows defender and firewall
• NETSH ip reset etc
• IPConfig /renew and IPConfig /release
• Troubleshooting network problems - says could not fix try powering off etc.
  

Other facts

• Win 8 box upgraded to win 10 and insider program
• Had Malwarebytes installed, uninstall didnt help
• Only way to fix is to restore back to before windows update

What the ****, its like being back in the old Win98 days! any suggestions?

Update: So had to resort to fully disabling Windows Update because it totally breaks the network on every auto update. Not ideal. I dont even know if it will let me re-install Windows 10 because I upgraded an old Windows 8 version using
the Insider program.

I have 5 years of programs that I will lose either way so I guess I will just never be able to update W10.

 

Wifi and LAN are not working

After my recent update in windows 10, I am unable to connect to internet through wifi and LAN.

I checked for driver issues in wifi and LAN, but those are working fine. After troubleshooting I got error like
one or more network protocols are missing on this computer.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I did indeed try out the steps you listed and they didn't work.

Please note that for future reference, my internet is working fine- I have my desktop connected via a LAN cable and that's how am able to reply to your messages and I can connect my cellphone over WiFi. I have also tried connecting my laptop with the help
of a LAN cable and it still doesn't connect.

I have a Lenovo G580-20157 and had upgraded to windows 10 around march,2016. Now, on lenovo's official website, there are no drivers for windows 10 for this machine and thus I downloaded win 8.1 drivers. On trying to install the network adapter drivers of
win 8.1, I get an error message saying "realtek bluetooth suite doesn't work on this version of windows".

Kindly help me now.

I have attached an image showing the result of 'ipconfig' and pinging the default gateway.

let me know what else is needed to help you solve this in a better way.
