  1. Network Drives not Visable when you log in with the PIN

I just reinstalled Windows 10 PRO on a Machine and for the first time linked it to the office 365 Account Azure

Previous machines where just on personal accounts.

I have had a real headache however trying to link the Network machines.

We have three Machines which we file share from

    1. A Nas Drive

    2. A Machine that runs our CRM database

    3. A legacy machine that has media files stored on it.

Normally we just access these by typing is \\SERVER or clicking on them from the Network Section.

However when I installed the new windows I could not see any of the drives. One I was able to connect to.

    1. The Nas Drive - Got a message "A specified login session does not exist. It may already have been terminated"

    2. The CRM database connected after a few goes

    3. A legacy Server simply said accecss denied.

Finally after some searching I found that the issue is related to logging in with the PIN.

Although: We have found also that some machines who log in with the PIN do not seem to have any issues at all, so the PIN itself is possible not the only factor.

However for me: When I logged in with the password all the machines appeared and worked fine.

I also found a post that shows a work around on this site, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/unable-to-access-nas-drive-when-logged-in-using/3587cf33-7ed9-403f-ac7c-d4158969412d

by updating the Windows credentials with this.

    Server adress: \\NameOfYourNAS

    Username: NameOfYourNAS\Username

    Password: ...

Both these are fine, but I would preffer to log in with the pin AND see new machines that are available when they connect.

So surely there is a windows setting in the security somewhere that adjusts the options when you log in with a PIN.

The last posts where a few years old, so hoping some new wisdom has come to light.

  2. Network drive not available after login with PIN

    Hi there,

I would like to connect to a network drive on login. When I log in by using the password, everything works fine and the network drive is available immediately.

When I login by using the fingerprint or the PIN, the network drive is not available.

How can I change that, so that the network drive is immediately available after logging in via PIN or fingerprint?

    Thanks for support!

  3. It is visable in windows 7 file explorer, but not visable in windows 10 file explorer.

    <Original title: Windows explorer>

    Hi

I have a network drive plugged into my router. It is visable in windows 7 file explorer, but not visable in windows 10 file explorer. What do I have to do to get to my files when using windows 10? With windows 7, I plugged it in and it was visable and I
did not have to do anything.
