    Network Ethernet driver causes my desktop to freeze on shutdown/restart


    Hey guys,

    This problem started when i switched of using WiFi to using Ethernet , my computer started to freeze on shutdown and on restart screen too, forcing me to force shutdown. If i disconnect the LAN cable the issue doesn't happen, so i uninstall and installed theRealtek PCIe GbE Family Controller driver to see if would solve the problem but it didn't. So im out of ideas.

    Network adapter drivers:

    -802.11n Wireless LAN Card

    -Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller

    Today, Windows Update has
    uninstalled and reinstalled all my hardware drivers
    reset reliability and problem history.
    Network Ethernet driver causes my desktop to freeze on shutdown/restart [​IMG]


    This morning I also received out of no-where a

    desktop shortcut - how did that get there??

    Is Edge browser causing Desktop freezes and abnormal Shutdowns?

    I have unticked startup and recovery > automatically restart, I also unchecked the overwrite dump file, as I thought I could afford a little disk space for this, at the moment.
    I shall wait until the next one happens, and see if a BSOD is generated. Thank you for spotting that.
