    Network intermittent, looks like DNS

On occasion I will lose the ability to connect to the internet in almost every application. It lasts about 5 minutes each time. I get it roughly 1-2 times per hour. Very annoying and hard to describe. I can maintain a voice/video call on Discord, but I cannot view a channel that is not cached, and cannot contribute to the conversation. I can “download” messages on a cached channel, but there is no way to send a message. On my browser I lose all functionality. Sometimes a download will continue, barely. Sometimes an upload will continue as well. I cannot go to a new site, I cannot refresh the p

    Intermittent DNS Request Timed Out

Hi all As the title suggest, I'm having an issue where sometimes, performing nslookup will result in DNS request timed out.
Network intermittent, looks like DNS 356539d1641464718t-intermittent-dns-request-timed-out-image11111.png
If I ping the IP directly, I can get replies, so network connectivity shouldn't be an issue. If I ping the URL, then it takes about 5 seconds until it shows the replies. Any idea what might be happening to my machine? Thank you in advance.

Intermittent problems with TLS handshake and being timed out

Check DNS settings for both network adapters. Your Wifi might be set to use a different DNS server.

Option Two follow steps then pick a DNS server from the list in item 7. Personally I use CloudFlare DNS

EDIT: Reset router first as already suggested.

    DNS problems with router

A couple suggestions I have for you:

Update the firmware on the router. Maybe it's getting into a badstate, and a firmware update might fix it. Or if you're comfortable with it, install a custom firmware like dd-wrt. Just make sure its supported on your router first.

Change your DNS to: 8.8.8.8, 4.2.2.1. Might help.

If none of these work, maybe statically set your DNS on your PS3/PC to the IPs you listed, taking the router out of the lookup procedure.

Last option, is look for a new router.
