  1. Network/internet ... 2nd try

My Dell Inspiron 15 3000 does not find the Canon MX882 printer. It does not find the printer. I've tried the steps suggested to find, including putting in the IP address, but it does not install so far.

I recently added a VPN ... Private Internet Access. I'm not sure how to temporarily disable if that's what is needed. Elise, from the MS Community sent me a link to re-install drivers. I had done that prior, but I installed the posted link again, but without success. Has anyone had that same problem marrying these devices/brands. I'm Windows 10 - 64

    :)

    network and internet

this hard drive is not connected to my computer, it is connected to my wireless router.

after scanning for hardware changes as you suggested in step one, there is no usb hard drive
listed on my computer, either in the device manager, or in the network list in file manager which includes both computers connected to the router. this computer is recognizing the router, internet, and other computers connected to the router.
it is not recognizing the hard drive connected tot he wireless router.

I checked my wireless router to see if the usb hard drive is discoverable and verified that it is.

Kick or Ban who is connected with my internet ?

You would have to do that on your Router's setup webpage. 1st step is to turn on WiFi encryption and password. 2nd step, if you feel you need to, is set up an access list of the physical MAC addresses for the network adapters of the computers you want to allow to connect. Any other network adapter not on that MAC filter list won't be able to connect. (but MAC addresses can be easily spoofed, if the third person knows which MAC addresses are allowed).
