Windows 10: Network & Internet Connections shows that I'm not connected to the internet, but I can...

Starting just today, shortly after the start of the afternoon my computer began displaying the icon for no internet connections, and I am unable to figure out how to fix it. As it goes, the only things I cannot seem to connect to the internet on are the actual Windows apps like the help desk, which is why I'm making a community post. I tried restarting my PC, unplugging and plugging back my ethernet cable, setting a static IP address which was in another discussion, and it all came back with no changes. As it stands, I still cannot connect to various Microsoft services such as driver updates t

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

Internet connection

So I've seen this problem before and was not able to resolve it on a ASRock board. I ended up selling that board. Now I have a system I just put together for a guy it doing the same behavior.

Network connection shows connected but no internet. (hard wired) If you disable the network adapter and enable it, it works fine. Re boot the PC and problem returns. No internet, disable network adapter and enable it, it now works.
