Windows 10: Network issues after updates. Rollback failed, fresh start failed, full reset failed.

After kb4538674, my Asus laptop has had wifi connectivity issues. I can access some sites (Google and Google search results), but with most sites I get a "can't access this page right now" type message. I would try to update to the network adapter driver, but I can't access the internet to download it. Full refresh of windows resulted in the same issue! Any advice?

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Yea, that was going to be my next suggestion, if "Safe mode" did not work... I didn't want to scare him just yet.. *Toast :toast: There is a new feature in Windows 8 that will let you go back to a fresh install with just a few clicks. It should help a lot non pro's to start over fresh. *Toast :toast: But this is no help to him.. *Toast :toast:

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
