    Issue: Applications are unable to access the files using network mapped drive letter but accessible using UNC PathAzure VMWindows Server 2022 Datacenter Azure EditionCreated a file share from Azure storage and mounted as network drive in Azure VM using windows PowerShell command provided in Azure.We are able to access the files via network mapped drive letter from VM while we use RDP and also through command prompt inside VM.Applications are unable to access the files using network mapped drive letter. But applications are able to access by using full UNC path.Kindly let me know what needs

    Drive Letter Mapping reverts to UNC path

    When I use a mapped drive letter in an icon in Windows 10, if I check the Run as Administrator on the icon properties, the icon then reverts to UNC path instead of using the drive letter mapping. Of course, if I don't run as Administrator, I don't have
    the permissions I need to run my program accessed by the icon.

    Can Quick Access links to network folders use mapped drive letters instead of network paths?

    Is it possible to get Quick Access links to network folders to use mapped drive letters in their path instead of just the network path? We have a few users who are uploading documents to a service, and these uploads will fail if the path to the document
    doesn't begin with a drive letter. The easiest way for them to get to these documents is through the Quick Access links, however those seem to use the network path and not the mapped drive letter, so they are unable to upload documents from them.

    Hi,

    No problem. Are you tied to having the NAS on the quick access list? A quicker option might be to map it as a mapped rive instead. If you open 'This PC' in File explorer, then go to the top bar, you should have an option to set a 'Map a Network Drive'. just
    give the drive a letter, then put the NAS path in there, and it should open quicker for you. Map drive Network discovery seems quicker then Quick Access. Hope this helps! Thanks
