Network PC Win10 1903 issue, PC can see each other, one can browse

Hi, i know this topic is probably done to death, but ive tried everything I can think of googling and looking around on win 10 forums and nothings helped.

I have one PC (HomePC) and another windows 10 1903 pc (MEDIAPC). HomePC can see MEDIAPC, but i get
"Windows cannot access \\mediapc check the spelling of the name... " etc. error. Ive done all the normal trouble shooting.

MEDIAPC can see HomePC and browse shared folders. I uninstalled MEDIAPC network drives and reinstalled them. ive gone through services. etc.

There has to be a fool proof method of getting this problem solved. why is it so difficult to network windows 10 pcs? why did MS remove homegroup? i never had any problem with homegroup's *Sad

EDIT: furthermore, ive added a laptop to the problem. "LAPTOPPC". laptop pc can see MEDIAPC and browse. MEDIAPC can see LAPTOPPC and browse. LAPTOPPC CANT SEE HomePC. HomePC CAN SEE LAPTOPPC, but access is denied. here i thought the problem was with MediaPC, but i think the problem is with HomePC?

    :)

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:

    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:

    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

    1809 breaks network browsing?

    Thanks Eagle...

I don't doubt that your system had no issues with network browsing, but my systems do...

I did run the script and the result is attached, but not certain what I am looking at?

The things are noticeable for me is that SMB1 disabled and SMB2 enabled. The rest is pretty much listing of network related processes, their corresponding file path and the "ipcongfig" output.

It's also not clear what this line in the output means:

    Code:
    Code:
    ICSDomain : mshome.net
Thanks in advance for your help...

admin settings on Win10 for PC

    Hi Hamza,

Is your PC connected to a domain network?

If your are connected to a domain network and yet facing this issue, I would suggest you to try the following steps and check:

    Method1:

First, I would suggest you to try switching your User account from a Microsoft account to a local account and check if the issue persists. Click on 'Settings', click on 'Accounts' and then click on "sign in with a local account' in the "your accounts' section.
Restart the computer and switch back to a Microsoft account and check.

If the issue persists, try these steps and check:

    • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
    • Click File > Run New Task
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
    • Type Powershell
    • Type the following in the Powershell prompt:

      $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
    • Close the Powershell window
    • Reboot

Try these and let us know the results.
