Windows 10: Network printer error problem

Hello all.


With the latest update I found a problem with the printer: I can no longer print from a PC to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer. The printer is seen on the network, and the drivers are correctly installed. I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall it, the problem persists. When I print any file I get an error message "the printer was unable to print the page". Someone could you help me? Thank you.

What is the exact error message you receive?

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• 
  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
  
• 
  Click on Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.

• How is the printer connected to the computer, locally or through network?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue?

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to update the drivers for printer and check.

• 
  Right click on the Start button from the desktop and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and expand Print queue.
  
• 
  Right-click on the printer driver
  that is listed and click Update driver software.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to run the printer troubleshooter from
“Fix printer problems”
and then check if this fixes the issue.

Win 10 Network Printer Connection Problem

I have tried, when using the wifi from a Win 7 computer to connect to the printer connected to it. Others can connect.

I did do the three steps outlined:

• Open File Explorer. Pick the "Network" icon from the left pane (navigation pane) of the file explorer UI.
• If sharing is turned off you will see a pale yellow line towards the top of the window that states "Network Discovery is turned off. Network computers and devices are not visible. Click to change...".
• Click this bar and select "Turn on network discovery and file sharing"

None of the suggestion worked.

I did notice that the PC I'm connecting to is 'Private' while I am listed as 'Public'.

• Can this be causing the problem?
• Are there other suggestions?

I need to be connected to use the other printer so work flow can not be disrupted and someone else needs to print the file for me.

I will be with this group again on Monday.
