Hello,I have an issue with a Dell OptiPlex 5090 with an IntelR Ethernet Connection 14 I219-LM network adapter. Every so often, the network adapter will disconnect and then reconnect for a few seconds. This what we have done so far. We have had Dell out to look at this thinking this is a network port or motherboard issue and then have replaced the motherboard in machine.Changed the network cableUsed a different network socketUpdated all the driversRun all windows updatesI wonder whether it is changing the network profile and this is causing the issue but have no idea how to check or if this

Ethernet constant disconnects - NetworkProfile EventID 10001

Hello there,

After hours of searching & trying to fix my constant disconnect issues in vain, I chose to ask for your help here.

Setup:

• Desktop PC connected by ethernet
  
• Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family controller
  
• Last gen "Orange" livebox 6 router (french ISP) on a optic fibre connection
  

Problem:

• In certain cases (video calls with slack/teams/other, while online gaming) there are constant disconnects. Connection is constant otherwise.
  
• The connection drops for a few seconds, then comes back up
  
• Only applies to ethernet, wifi isn't affected
  
• This can happen every few minutes, dozens of minutes, or hours, it seems completely random
  

I did find all the entries in the log that correspond to every disconnect I've had, under Microsoft > Windows > NetworkProfile

For each disconnect I've got the same few entries in this order for provider Microsoft-Windows-NetworkProfile:

eventID 10001 > 4004 > 20002 > 4001 (pending identification) > 1000 > 4004 > 4002 (pending identification) > 20002 > 4004

I found various posts listing fixes to what seemed to be my problem but none worked for me (ethernet controller power saving modes, DNS wpad resolution fails, cpu offload...etc...).

PC NIC keeps dropping connection.

Hello All, I am running a custom built PC that has been stable for 9+ months. No recent hardware or software changes. I run a monitor with my security cameras and noticed them more frequently going out then back on. Reset modem, firewall, router, and switch, no change. I can log into my firewall from my phone and it is not dropping connection, which leads me to be a computer issue. Currently on version 20H2. Intel(R) I211 driver 12.18.12.1. Tried updating driver, no change. Tried windows updates no change. Multiple event viewer networkprofile events 10001, 4004, 4002, 20002, 10000, 20002, then it repeats. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

 

auto disabling of wifi when ethernet connected

I have been using 4001 for years. It happens when the Ethernet cable is plugged in.
