Windows 10: Network proxy settings?

I cannot play games on my computer because it says it cannot connect to the game servers. Then I do a troubleshooting for my network and the pc detected an issue. it says " Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings". Please help me fix this and let me know if there is a way to prevent this from happening again.

To set up a proxy server in Windows 10, you may follow the following steps.

• Press the Windows key and I to open
  Settings.
• Click on Network & Internet.
• Under Proxy you can either Automatically set up a proxy or
  Manual set up a proxy server.
