Network services require manual restart every time after computer reboots

Hi, every time my computer reboots I need to manually restart network services see attached screenshot. Here are the details. This problem began after I followed mcafee foolish suggestion to uninstall network adapters and reinstall them to fix their vpn issue. Back then, I uninstalled all network adapters, restarted computer, and windows then automatically reinstalled all the adapters. After that the described problem began. Trying to fix it, I run wifi driver update under Device manager, and also run "Scan for hardware changes". All drivers are said to be the latest and greatest, yet, as I s

Windows Service not running at computer startup / restart.

@Samurai - Thanks for the suggestion, but how does this recommendaiton work with an already existing service? Because the service is already listed in the services list, it just refuses to start when set to "Automatic" when I startup or restart the computer.

By the looks of the "runaservice" download, it will create a whole new service in the services list, as if I don't currently have one.

Apache/MySQL service settings revert to manual on reboot

I've maintained an XAMPP localhost on my machine for web development for years and never had any real problem with it. Fairly recently (within the last two or three months, I believe), the services for both Apache and MySQL always revert to a Startup Type of Manual on reboot. Each time, I dutifully go in and reset the Startup Type to Automatic and start the services. Everything is fine until the next reboot. Then, I find that neither Apache nor MySQL are running because the Startup Type has reverted to Manual. So, I do the same thing all over again. I must have reset the two services to Automatic at least a thousand times. They always revert to Manual.

This has never happened before. Is there a way:

    • To prevent them from reverting to Manual, effectively making Automatic "stick" or
    • Failing that, write a batch file to circumvent whatever Microsoft has done and reset the Startup Type on reboot?

I just know that the Microsoft software engineers spend many a sleepless night figuring out new and creative ways to make Windows less usable and more inefficient. Aparently, they strike again!
