Windows 10: Network set-up

If this the wrong topic, please advise.Here's the background.I bought a new HP AIO to replace my ancient HP desktop - so old that when I entered the SN and prod # it wasn't recognized.What I'm trying to do is connect my new AIO to the old desktop to transfer selected files. Every thing I've tried so far, like copy/paste to USB, burn to CD/DVD, etc. doesn't work. My old desktop has a non-working CD/DVD burner and 8 USB slots that do not recognize my portable HDDs. Therefore, I'm unable to burn files to DVD or copy/paste to my portable HDD.On both my AIO and old desktop, both computers are

In the mean time, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter to diagnose and fix network problems. Refer to the steps below:

• Click on Start.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Network & Internet.
• Under Change your network settings, click on Network troubleshooter.

Set Broadband Internet Connection Network Configuration

Network and Internet Troubleshooter
and check if there's any changes. To run the
troubleshooter,
follow these steps:

  On the search bar, type

• 
  Choose
  Network and Internet.

  Run the following
  Troubleshooter:

    Internet Connections.
    
  • 
    Network Adapter.
    
  • 
    Incoming Connections.
    

If the issue persists, we suggest that you try to
renew
your
IP address. To do this, follow these steps:

  Open
  Command Prompt
  as
  Administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following command:

    Ipconfig/release
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Ipconfig/renew
    and hit
    Enter.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
