Network Share in explorer Logging in as different User

Why can't we use address history bar to reconnect after restart and get user prompt( must type in complete address again) the history link is tied to user and won't allow different user prompt to reappear after restart as it tries to connect as current user and not different user and will not pop up login prompt dialog box, that why network share no longer show up in quick access

    :)

How to selectively share files via network on different PCs in v1803?

I am having exactly the same problem as Kabigon described. My two computers show up under "Network" in File Explorer. When I click on the other computer it lists the Users (if they have at least one file shared with "Everyone"). But I cannot share a file with a single user. If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate the info.
Brink, if no one comes up with a Windows 10 network solution I may end up with a NAS.

  3. Cannot access shared network drive

I could scream! so much time wasted on this stupid error, as if time is not precious enough!
It probably would work fine if I could see the other computer! But I cannot see the other computer!

  4. Network Share in explorer Logging in as different User

accessing network shares by 2 simultaneously logged on users

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this issue .

the problem I have is when 2 users are logged in simultaneously (switch user) and attempt to access the same network resource (using different usernames) to access the resource I get an error. 0x80070035.

for example I have 2 users setup on my windows 10 pc (both using ms accounts) I mapped a network drive to a share on my nas M: (L: \\nas\multimedia) under both profiles. these mappings
are using their respective user accounts on the nas. so far no problem.

I can log off and then logon as the other user and access the mapped drive no problems.. the issue occurs when I remain logged in as the first user (switch user) at this point if I login as the 2nd user I will receive an error and cannot access the network
share or any other share on the NAS.

this issue does not exist on my windows 7 pc. it works as expected so this is not an issue with the nas.

was wondering if anyone ran into this or a similar issue and/or if there is a workaround or a fix to resolve.

    thanks
