Windows 10: Network troubleshooter not working

When I try to diagnose ethernet network connection or any other network adapter or connection I am getting:"An unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue" with an error code 0x80004005I am unable to find any information on how to correct this error and would appreciate any help to get this resolved.

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

To clarify your concern, kindly answer the following questions:

• Is the router detected under Device Manager?
  
• Does the issue happen on a specific device or with all of your devices?
  
• Have you tried power cycling your device?

Meanwhile, to help resolve your concern, we suggest that you run the Network and Internet troubleshooter. To do this, follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
  
• Choose Network and Internet troubleshooter.
  
• Run the Internet Connections and Network Adapter troubleshooter.

Network troubleshooting message "Windows could not automatically detect this networks proxy settings"

Thanks for the help. After unchecking use proxy, I went in to settings and turned off automatic search for proxy.

No longer get that message.
