  1. Network two computers - not sure we ever gave one a password

We tried to network a windows 10 desktop with a Windows 7 notebook via a wifi but was asked for the password for the notebook...we didn't know... So how can we give it a password, or find out if it has one already...?

Can we network them without passwords?

    Thanks.

    :)

    Unable to browse network computers.

We suggest creating a new administrator user account by following the steps
    here
. Make sure to use the same network settings that you used for your other computers, then check if you can connect to the home network. Since you also mentioned that Windows 10 was freshly installed on this particular computer, have you already downloaded
the latest updates? The latest build for Version 1607 is 14393.1715, and 15063.608 for Version 1703. You can check the build version of your computer by following these steps:

    • Click Start.
    • Type winver and press Enter.

If you don't have the latest updates, you can follow these steps to install them:

    • Click Start.
    • Go to Settings.
    • Click Update & security.
    • Click Check for updates.

If that doesn't work, we'd like screenshots of the network and file sharing settings of the computer that doesn't work, and the settings of one of your other computers that can connect and share files properly on the home network.

How to revoke the access privilege ( Username and Password) I gave to open a Computer on the Network.

    hi There,

    Greetings from Shank.

Can anyone help me with this issue.

I recently configured P2P LAN network with two window 10 PCs.

I also created some network shares with read privileges for "Everyone" on both PCs.

I configured both Computer's Network Locations as private and enabled "Network Discovery " and Turned on "File and Printer Sharing"

The first time I accessed the network Computer , I was prompted for a User Name and Password.

After I entered the other Computer Username and Password I was able to access its network files and folders.

    My problem is :

The subsequent access to them same Network Computer is not prompting for Username and Password.

Can anyone tell me how to revoke the access privilege ( Username and Password), I gave it the first time I accessed it.

    Thanks everyone.
