  1. Network user issue

    Hi there,

I have a client with a 3 x computer network (Not server, just a simple peer to peer network)

One computer is configured to share files, the other two access files on that PC (docs and their accounting software files)

But almost every day the user accounts on the 2 machines accessing the other one drop off, and they need to re-enter their login details.

The internet at this site is horrible and does drop out regularly.

Could this be the reason - hard to imagine the internet would affect the local network, but who knows ?

I've replaced the router (no WiFi, this is all cabled), and some of the cables, but it happens to both computers!

Any thoughts are welcome - client has been driving me crazy about this issue Network user issue :(

Note, the three computers are W10 (clients) and the main PC is W7

    Thanks, Dave

    :)

    Issues with network adapters

    Hi Alfonso,

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If the issue persists, kindly try the troubleshooting steps on the following link:

Fix network connection issues in Windows 10
    .

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

Let us know how it goes for us to assist you further.

    Network user issue

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
