Windows 10: Network wont turn on on my windows 10 and no wifi option

A few days ago I tried to update my wifi driver from the intel driver and support assistantbut then mid-installation my wifi went down and the installation was interrupted and my wifi won't turn on since then. A few things I noticed were in the device manager under my network adapters they had a yellow exclamation mark and the network connections folder was empty in my device in the control panel I tried a lot of things like network reset, troubleshooting won't identify, I tried the services method I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the drivers and many other things I found on

In order to get the list of available wireless networks, you have to:

1. Switch on Connect to suggested open hotspots (see the screenshot in question);
   
2. Click on Wifi icon in the right corner. Now you have your networks back.
   

After that the parameter from Step 1 can be turned off, networks will be listed normally after restarting Wifi.

P.S. I feel rather stupid at the moment. I thought that open hotspots are passwordless hotspots and so are presumably not very safe. So of course I've turned that off during installation.
Really hard to see any logic in this case.

 

Windows won't forget WiFi network

I have 3 old Wifi networks that I want to get rid of in the list of networks. All devices show them in the WiFi list and when i click Forget, they come right back. When I go to Manage networks in Settings, they're not there, but still show in the list on every device. How can I get rid of them?

The first image is the list of networks. I want to remove the Blackwellhome ones. The second is obviously the Manage Networks in Settings.

 

Wifi wont turn on after Windows 10 update

I have now attempted (multiple times) the above suggestion.



When I do the troubleshooter, it asks me to turn on the Wireless adapter via a switch on the side of the computer. My computer doesn't have a switch, it only has a touch-sensitive button or a menu option to turn on. When I go to settings and click
the button to turn on the wifi, it just flicks back to off.

Otherwise it tells me it's operating normally (if i skip the step of turning the wifi on).

Windows will not let me turn wifi on (see attached screen shots).



I went to the manufacturers site and downloaded the latest 64bit windows 10 drivers and installed them via the 'update device drivers' after uninstalling the current drivers as suggested and i still cannot turn the wifi on.

You wouldn't happen to have another suggestion? Please.
