    Using phone in USA

    The 6500 Slide is quadband if I remember correctly, so it will work on GSM networkd anywhere in the world. 3G services may not be available as the US uses different frequencies for this to most other countries.

    The European charge will work fine provided you use an appropriate UK-US mains adapter that will regulate the difference in voltage.

    E90 mobile lost

    All you can do is advise your network so that they can de-activate you SIM to prevent your account being used. Depending on what country you are in, they may also be able to add the IMEI to a network blacklist to prevent the phone accessing networkd.

    If you didn't have a separate third-party security app installed before the loss, there is no way for you to remotely lock the phone down, sorry.

    How do I get Recent Folders to update with info from a shared drive?

    Actually, I thought it simply was not possible. I have not been able to find much about that option. There does not appear to be anything in Office that gives you that sort of control. I suspect it has to do with Windows, or maybe your networking tool.

    This question about stopping that sort of entry has a suggestion you may be able to use:

    https://www.windowsbbs.com/threads/removing-mru...

    <snip>

    If the MRU cleaning doesn't do it for you, another option would be to create a batch file to map to the drives you need but not to have them persist when you get off the PC.

    net use X:\ \\SomePC\someshare /persistent no

    net use Y:\ \\SomeOtherPC\some-other-share /persistent no

    will connect them for you.

    </snip>

    I suspect this works because the drive mapping is dropped when you close Windows, so it drops the associated MRU entries.

    Try redefining the networkd drive mappings using /persitent yes and see if that helps. Of course, that command parameter may not even be part of your networking tool <grin>

    This link discusses a similar problem. Maybe you can find something useful in it:

    https://community.ivanti.com/thread/35734

    This page lists various registry MRU locations, for (very) old versions of Windows and Office. But you can try adapting them to current versions to see if you can find relevant entries on your problem machine.
