    networking Win10 computers

I have two Windows 10 computers on my home network. They are named Haydn and Beethoven. Both are setup to enable network discovery and both have file and printer sharing enabled. The IPv4 addresses of both computers are preset in my router so I always know what their IPv4 address is, and those two IPv4 addresses along with their computer names are included in my LMHOSTS file. Enable LMHOSTS lookup is enabled in the TCP/IP IPv4 WINS properties, and the default of Use NetBIOS settings from DHCP is selected on both. When I ping a computer from the other one using the IPv4 address, it's < 1ms, and if I ping using the computer name as in the LMHOSTS file, it shows the IPv6 address and < 1 ms. Network does not show the other computer on either of them. I can map drives, but the computers are invisible to the Network browser. Is it no longer possible to see other computers on a local network in the Network app? What do I need to do to have them appear in the network map?

    :)

One computer cannot access other network computers.

So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:
    • Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
    • Ran a bunch of network commands:
      • flushed DNS
      • registered dns
      • pinged and located the named computers successfully
    • Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

    Any thoughts?
