Windows 10: NetworkList Profiles Registry Has No Profiles

Hello,I have been trying to resolve a years long issue with this Windows server 2016 in Dell Poweredge R440 not being able to connect to a server, although it does still connect to the internet. While I can connect to the internet, I can't do anything that requires connect to a server: Windows updates, etc. Then I check the registry, no any network information.How do I add or recover network profiles? NetworkList Profiles Registry Has No Profiles

Hello,

I have been trying to resolve a years long issue with this PC not being able to connect to a server, although it does still connect to the internet. While I can connect to the internet, I can't do anything that requires connect to a server: Windows updates, download Steam or other apps, etc. This PC has not had a Windows update since I bought it because it can't connect to the internet. For the record, I am on your website now with the same PC as it tells me it is not connected to the internet.

I have performed ever solution a dozen times: reset network adapter, buy a new adapter, reset router and modem, reset windows, only use Windows defender, every CMD console command I can find, etc. Today I found a way to switch from public to private network. Tried using PowerShell (Admin) and the newtwork profiles request came back with nothing. So I went into the registry and found the NetworkList Profiles folder is empty - no profiles at all. So, there is nothing to find and connect to.

How do I add or recover network profiles? Thank you.

Wiindows build is Windows 10 Home 64-Bit (10.0, Build 19043)

Note that there are actually two Windows computers with this problem. Some NetworkList Profiles were manually deleted from the registry (but nothing else) on both computers.

One computer is on a domain; the other is not.

Domain PC Windows version: Windows 10 Enterprise 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1348)

non-domain PC Windows version: Windows 10 Pro 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1466)

Windows 10 NetworkList in Registry Missing Profiles?

Hi:

Profiles from Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles were deleted from my computer. The networks still work, but there is now no way to change the type from public to private, for example.

Is there a way to fix this issue?
