    Netzero email cannot be setup in Outlook for Windows 11


    Took the plunge to the new Outlook for Windows 11 well i had to sometime, we have been told we mst do so and I am regretting it. I have an account with Netzero https://my.netzero.net/start/sp.do which I have used over many years since 2000. It was functioning properly in Windows Mail windows 10 and 11 using this configuration:Settings:1. Choose advanced setup. That is the last option under email account to configure.2. Next page choose. Internet account for POP3 or IMAP.3. Net fill in the boxes. a. Email address and username is your NetZero email. b.

    Netzero Mail with Windows 10 Mail App

    Netzero is both an Internet Provider, and, Email provider. I have had a netzero email since 1986....Netzero provides and supports this POP email service. I have been using Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Windows mail....to Fetch\Send my netzero mail.....but
    now I am using, hoping to use, the Windows10 Mail App.

    Using the Auto setup, entering ID and Password, the Netzero acct does get created....in Win App...but it does not fetch/Send messages...so for Netzero that feature of Win10 App is flawed. When I try to create my Netzero mail acct using the Manual process....the
    conflagration windows presented are not at all the same as in Outlook, Win Live Mail, etc.

    For instance, past Outlook, Live Mail...etc, you had the More Setting which provided tabs, (General\Outgoing Server\Advanced)...especially the Advanced tabs required Port numbers, checking or unchecking security requirements , etc..... the Win10 APP has
    nothing similar...for the mostpart.

    How to install outlook express on windows xp with explorer 8?

    This is an awkward problem to solve and one I don't think is worth the time and effort.

    The OP would be better off either using a modern webmail service like gmail or outlook.com or using a modern email client like Windows Live Mail like FX-GMC suggested or Thunderbird from Mozilla. If nothing else, Outlook Distress was notorious for corrupting its data files and losing all your email in one easy step. Not worth it.

    The screen shot looks like that's where she would CREATE a new group. What is on the "Send/Receive" tab?
