    New 2080 Super with 144Mhz monitor, won't downclock


    So, on my kids new PC, he has a 2080 Super FTW3, connected to 3 monitors. 2 of them are 60Hz monitors, and 1 is Gync-Compatible AOC that runs at 144Hz.

    Trying to track down an oddity with fans spinning up on the GPU, noticed via Precision X1 that his Clock speed as always 1,650Mhz...even when the GPU was idle and box was doing nothing.

    Changing 144Hz down to 60Hz allows the 2080 Super to go from 1,650Mhz to 300Mhz. This cuts power from 50w to 20w and drops the temp about 15C.

    Researching this shows this to be a common issue. Anybody have a recommendation or any type of trick to get around this issue?.

    Volume Mute Light won´t change color


    Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?
