    New Acer Laptop HDMI port not working to second screen display Dell monitor


    Used 2 diff HDMI cords, no response from port. Troubleshooted with adapter on Mac and the second screen displayed worked so it's not the cord, it's the Acer port. Help.

    Swap display port and HDMI port ourputs on Windows 10, Dell XPS 8920

    Just purchased a new Dell XPS 8920 with Windows 10 that has both a Display port and HDMI port. My new monitor has the HDMI port and my older smaller monitor uses the computers Display port with a conversion cable to DVI on the monitor. How can I swap
    monitor 1 (older) with monitor 2 (newer)? Windows lets me move the screens right and left but not swap primary #1 and secondary #2. Thanks for any suggestions; Capt. Brigg

    Using a second monitor as an extended display via HDMI to VGA Adapter. Can you?

    I use a Dell laptop and at home I have an old Dell monitor. I want to connect the Dell monitor as a second display via the HDMI port using a HDMI to VGA adapter. The monitor works fine as a duplicate display but now I want to use them as an extended display but the laptop doesn't detect the dell monitor. As my laptop is supplied by my employer I'm limited in what settings I can change.

    Reading around I suspect I won't be able to get this to work due to my configuration and the only way to resolve this is to buy a HDMI monitor. Is that correct?

    How to send monitor a/v to second HDMI or Display Port

    I am trying to hook up a vhs recorder to my Dell XPS 8900 computer to be able to record a/v onto a vhs tape. I have tried using both my second HDMI port, and my Display port with the proper converters to RCA input to the VHS recorder. How can I get the
    audio and video shown on my computer monitor to also be available on either the 2nd HDMI port or the Display port? Not sure if this should be under PC Projections or Settings
