Windows 10: New Asus laptop - cannot switch out of S Mode

So purchased a new laptop today and lo and behold I can barely run anything due to not being able to switch out of S mode.I have tried everything available to me:resetting MS Storelogging in and out of MS Storerestarting Windows Update serviceChanging region to USResetting PCplus a bunch of other stuff I can barely remember. Half of which don't work because I'm told they aren't supported software and to run them I need to switch out of S Mode!!! I can't even reset from a bootable USB as I cannot run the Media Creation Tool.Beyond ridiculous.

ASUS Laptop Won't Wake from Sleep Mode

Problem: about 80% of the time, my laptop won't wake up from sleep mode via keyboard press or mouse move/click. I seem to be missing many common features in power plan too, even after fresh Windows 10 install.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Reinstalled Windows 10 (clean)
2. Updated all drivers
3. Replicated on multiple Windows 10 versions, updates
4. BIOS latest version
5. No USB devices attached, ever. Only USB-C power and bluetooth mouse
6. Disabled "fast startup" in control panel

 

Switching out of S Mode

I am having trouble switching my laptop out of S Mode. I went through the steps that are listed, and the Windows Store is updated and it won't let me click Get when you go to the screen to switch out of S mode.

 

Airplane mode switch not working

Since the troubleshooting steps that were provided did not resolve the issue, we suggest switching on the Radio Management Service. To do that, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type services.msc, then hit Enter.
• Search for Radio Management Service.
  
• Right-click, then choose Start.

Note: Never ever set this service to "Disabled".
