  1. New build, a whole ton of issues I never had before

Greetings dear reader New build, a whole ton of issues I never had before :)
I have recently build a semi-new computer, all main components are new, excluding the hard drives and power supply unit

    It looks something like that

Asus TUF Gaming B450M Plus Gaming

    Asus nVidia GTX1080 Strix 8GB

    AMD Ryzen 2700X

    Hyper-X DDR4 3200MHz 16GB (single channel)

SilentiumPC Vero L2 PSU 600W (this is the unit I had in my old build for about a half of year)

Samsung Evo 860 SSD 250GB (I had this in my previous build as well since my main drive dropped a ball on me and I had to get a replacement fast so I can work)

Two random Toshiba 250GB hard drives I have taken out of my old toshiba laptops and been using then ever since

Singular 500GB Lenovo hard drive I have taken out out my old laptop as well

    So, to pressing the issue
The computer itself is incredibly snappy and responsive, as you can imagine

But the thing is... its BSODs constantly

Til the first reset, that is
After the initial BSOD occurs another one is anywhere to be seen, unless I turn the computer off

At first I noticed something was weird since I have experienced random CTGs while browsing internet via Chrome but I thought to myself, hey, it's Chrome after all, it can crash here and there
But after having it crashing day after day I realized something is wrong
Soon after I have started having BSODs to the left and right, different codes for it every time
At first I thought it could be issue with Samsung Magician Software I am using to boost my PC a lil by using RamDisk feature they offer and the W10 does not realize certein things and it tries to put data to different destination area and that's why computer is getting BSODs all over

Or maybe paging files are not stored in proper place or something and PC is getting confused which is which and decides to BSOD instead

So I turned it all off
    Issues stayed though

Then I thought maybe there is problem with memory, the voltage on it is too low or something so I tried bunch of different things like bumping the voltage, lowering the speeds and such

    Nope, nothing has changed

Then I realized that since my hard drives are kinda old they could be giving out on me as Windows try to do something with them in idle or stand-by, such as paging files and they decide to disconnect or something it automatically crashes since OS wants to do something that it simply cannot, as in maybe HDD at this very moment got disconected or something while still being displayed or something
So I disconnected all dem drives from my rig and, as you already guessed, nothing has changed
The BSODs occur at random, could be in minute of using the computer and also could be in two days of constant use

Funny enough, it never does BSOD while gaming and at the same time I can somehow always predict that it is going to by watching how OS operates, like for example it can suddenly stop highlighting buttons when you hower your cursor over the X button or opening start menu is not immediate, random apps close on their own, it isChrome most of the time and it is Chrome gave me idea that it could be issue with memory or drives since it consumes so much of it and it have reminded me of times when I was still using my old notebooks, the exact time liked to happen when i was running out of memory but still wanted to do what i was doing

Thats what gave me the idea and started researching in the memory department but with no luck

It could be that it all is happening cause I've got single channel memory and no dual channel? The other way around that would make sense but who knows, every build is vastly different in how it might behave in certain setups and situations

For a second there I also thought that the cause of all this might be Windows 10 itself, when I installed W10 on my older rig it could do literally the same on the spot and since im using same hard drives the issue could replicate itself to my new rig
And if I am correct it means I have to get second ram stick to make it dual channel and more stable thanks to it since I have heard that certain systems won't boot unless slots dual channel is running OR get rid of my old HDDs since

Having those issues is really killing me since its mostly brand new rig and its having same issues as a computer from 10 years ago

Can someone please guide me through this?

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
