Windows 10: New Build - Migrating Windows 10 Pro from prebuilt Dell to Newly Built PC

Is there any reliable way to to move windows 10 from a prebuilt to a fresh PC. The dell originally came with windows 8 pro installed and has since been upgraded to windows 10 pro. It automatically activated through the digital entitlement when I upgraded to Windows 10 pro but I also have the original product key.

I basically want to migrate windows 10 pro to the new build and activate a retail copy of windows 10 home that I have on the old prebuilt dell.

Migrating Windows 10 to a new computer

While making a list of parts for my upcoming PC build, I was wondering if it is possible to install an HDD from an older prebuilt system and transfer Windows 10 to an SSD in the new build. Would it work? If so, would I still need an activation key?

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
