Windows 10: New camera installed complete with video problems

I am completely new to computer cameras, so I have no idea of how to even approach and fix the problems with my Aukey LM-PC3, so don't even know where to get the best assistance (other than here, of course). I did a search for "camera" which tuned up ten pages here, but none seemed to have any relevance for me. A long on-line search has also failed to give me even a hint as to what is going on and how to fix the problem(s).

1. Open the Camera app, camera turns on, I see myself but there is a constant interference with the image in the form of what I would call "colored static" for lack of a technical term. This seems to start at the bottom of the screen and work upwards; it then goes away and then constantly repeats.

2. Open a test meeting in Zoom, camera turns on, but with what appears to be a very rapid horizontal scan of completely unrecognizable `whatever'. I have not been able to figure out how to stop that, and if the camera is actually seeing me, I cannot see myself through the totally filled useless screen.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

to reset the Camera app on your Windows 10 computer:

• Press the Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
• From the options presented select System, then click on
  Apps & features located on the left pane.
• Locate the Camera app from the list and select it.
• Select the Advanced options link and then choose Reset.
• When the pop-up notification is shown just click on the Reset
  button once more.
• Once all the steps are complete, kindly reboot your computer.

Completing this steps will clear the cache of the Camera app and allow it to re-recognize any video capture devices connected to your computer.

settings to see if the camera access is turned on. Kindly follow the steps below to check the camera privacy settings:

• Near the top of the Settings app window is the search box, kindly type the word "webcam" or "camera".
• From the list of results choose Camera privacy settings.
• Make sure that "Let apps use my camera" toggle is set to On.
