  1. New computer is slow to react

In June I got a new computer, a Dell 8950 with a 12700K CPU and running off an NVMe drive, with Windows 11. I expected it to respond quickly. But after not being used for a while, clicking on a desktop icon doesn't do anything for a long time. I can click several times over a period of several seconds, and then it will come up oven multiple copies. However, if I click on the search bar, close it, then clicking on a desktop icon works quickly.I thought that it might be in sleep mode, but sleep mode is definitely turned off. What could be the problem?

    My pc is reacting slow

    Hello Nizho,

There are many possible causes why your computer is running slow. Examples are
not enough hard drive space, too many programs running at startup or in the background, data Corruption and hard disk fragmentation.

Before we proceed, please provide the following:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you check the status of CPU usage?

For now, we suggest you to perform a

    clean startup
to determine whether background programs are interfering.

We’re looking forward for your response.
