Windows 10: New Computer Microsoft Sign-In Asking for Old Windows Password

Hello,I just got a new computer and do not have access to the old computer. As I try to sign into my Microsoft account it's asking me for my old Windows password. I don't know my old Windows password because once I set it up I immediately assigned it a PIN and never used it again. How can I get signed into my Microsoft account?

• Did you try to check if similar issues occur when you sign through Microsoft Account(MSA)?
• What is the current build of Windows 10 installed in your computer?

If it still does not help, I suggest you to make sure that you have changed your location/region and language of the PC to the ones supported for Cortana.

Follow the below steps to check for the correct system locale in your PC:

• Control Panel
• Select Change date, time, or number formats
• In the Region dialog appears, choose Administrative and click
  Change system locale.
• Select a appropriate system locale

Local meaning the good old user name?
If so, that is what I have, my name, then a password.
Then it asks me for a Microsoft account and password.
No way I'm signing into windows with any kind of email account.

1. Did you recently upgraded to Windows 10?

2. If so, which was the previous operating system installed?

3. Did you use a Microsoft Account in the previous operating system?

4. How exactly did you install Windows 10?

If you upgraded to Windows 10 from a previous operating system, I would suggest you to try using the old account details and password and check if you are able to sign in. However, if that does not accept the password, I would suggest resetting the password
