    I have a computer that was given the wrong computer name, so one of my co-workers changed the computer name and remove the old computer name out of AD. The problem is when the user tries to remote into the PC with the new computer name it will not find it but when if someone uses the old computer name to remote into the PC it works. I have tried remoting into the PC via RDM as well as SCCM. I have done nslookup as well as made sure that it was one the right dns server which it is but it will not accept the new computer name to remote into. How do I get the computer to recognize the new compu

    PC name incorrect in ADUC after beign renamed

    One of our newer workstations was installed with 1903 version because 1809 just didn't turn out well. I had to rename it later on and somehow on ADUC it still shows as the old name on the computer list. The properties section shows the new name for DHS and
    computer name, but the old name is the one shows on the top (which can't be changed).

    Remoting to it only works if I connect to the new name. PDQ also shows the new name.

    Has anyone had the same problem? Or can anyone suggest a solution?

    SCCM remote session locking remote device

    Hello,

    We have SCCM (below details) installed on a Jump servers and we use it to connect to clients deployed in our environment.
    In order to connect to the devices, we connect to the Jump server first using PAM and then to the devices.

    Environment - SCCM2010 v5.2010.1093.3100 & Client 5.00.9040.1044
    Deployed to Win 10-64bit Enterprise.
    Locally installed SCCM Remote Control software v5.00.9040.1044

    My problem is if I am connected to a device and DO NOT disconnect from the session, but simply disconnect from the jump server instead, the device I am connected to gets locked out.

    I do not want it to lock out, instead I just need the SCCM session to just disconnect but not lock the remote machine out.

    How can that be done ?
