  1. New Computer, New BSODs

New Motherboard, CPU, 4GB of ram added, and a new case. The hard drive is the same, and a GPU is on the way (using the old one for now.) I don't think anything specific is causing it, but I'm no expert (please keep this in mind.)

I'm also attaching CBS log because I received this at the end of the system file checker scan:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
    supported in offline servicing scenarios.

maybe someone can look at the scan and tell me what's going on there.

    :)

  3. BSOD on a new Computer

Update the drivers and software for your Razer keyboard and mouse:

    http://drivers.razersupport.com//index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view

Please restart your computer and allow 20 minutes for the system to run before uploading information required to help me investigate your problem. When examining Event Viewer log files many, not all, problems show in the period immediately after
    the computer has been booted.

Please upload to your OneDrive and share with everyone a copy of your
System log file from your Event Viewer and post a link here. Please remove any earlier copies of the logs from your OneDrive.

To access the System log select the keyboard shortcut Win+R, type
eventvwr.msc and press the ENTER key. From the list in the left side of the window select Windows Logs and System. Place the cursor on System, select Action from the Menu and
Save All Events as (the default evtx file type) and give the file a name. Do
not provide filtered files. Do not place the cursor in the list of reports before selecting Action from the menu. Do
not clear logs whilst you have a continuing problem.

    New Computer, New BSODs

    Hi PancakeSquad,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

I haven't yet fully analyzed the dumps as I do not yet have to appropriate time for it, but I do want to tell that if you just added memory then you are most likely running mixed memory what can cause problems for system stability.

  5. Hmm, should I remove the new RAM sticks that are different than the others then? (Keep in mind they're the exact same dual channel DDR3 but from different manufacturers, if that makes any difference. But computers are fickle so I doubt it does.) It might be why Google Chrome also keeps "Oh Snap!" crashing on me too, not enough memory.

The only situation when one can keep the memory seated is when they are the exact same memory make & model or in other words a kit.

    Yes

8GB memory should be enough to run a system on daily usage with some extended use too.
4GB only should be enough too for daily usage, but without extended use like stuff as running a virtual machine.

  7. Well I've gone ahead and removed the sticks that were different (they were just old ones that I decided to keep in the new computer, but same manufacturer except 2GB sticks instead of the 4GB's I have.) I'll let the computer run a full day and see if that will stop the BSODs.
