    New computer programs/data transfer


    My grandson has been using a laptop for about 4-5 years now. Over the years hes done a lot with it invluding using MS Office plus dozens of other programs like Steam and others along with all their data and useage. If we get him a new laptop is there some way to get his new laptop configured to run and work like the old one? Ive seen various opinions ranging from yes to no. I understand the registry issue. If it were the same laptop couid i just swap hard drives? Im sure im not alon3 in needing to do this.

    programs and files missing after data transfer to new computer. not listed in apps nor thru search. Have used win defender. Is the program somewhere?

    What's the easiest/best way to transfer all my data and programs from old vista computer to new windows 10 computer? I do not have most program materials to re-install programs from old to new.

    Will transferred data and programs be a copy from old computer to new computer?
