How to replace old Microsoft Account with a new Microsoft Account

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am glad to assist you.

I would suggest you to switch your Microsoft account to a Local account first and then switch back with a new Microsoft account. Please refer to the following steps:

Step 1:

• Type Manage your accounts
  in the search bar and click on it
• Click on "sign in with a local account instead"
• Press next and complete the process.
• If you do not have a local account, leave the credentials blank and proceed.

Step 2: Now, on the newly converted Local account, follow these steps to add a new MSA.

1. In the Start search, type "Manage your accounts" and press Enter.

2. Choose 'Accounts'.

3. Click on "sign in with a local account instead"

4. Enter the Microsoft account ID and Password and click Next.

New Computer, Old Microsoft Account

I currently have a laptop that within a week I will be replacing with a brand new computer. I remember when I purchased the one I have now, there was no option to sign into a preexisting Microsoft account when you set the computer up. I am aware that it
is possible to add another Microsoft account to the computer, but from what I could tell by your articles, that option is not available until after a new account is made. Furthermore, the account added to the system will not be the primary account either.
I'd rather not have to make a brand new account whatsoever, is it possible to sign into a preexisting Microsoft account during the initial setup of a new computer?

 

New computer, old microsoft account

I got a new computer (windows 10) and signed in a Microsoft account, same email address but different password. I am still using my old computer (windows 8) and none of the passwords are working to turn on my session: either the old password, nor the new
one. How can I do to synchronize the 2 sessions and keep working on my session with my old computer? Thank you for your help
