Windows 10: new computer, Win10 will not activate its digital copy

Bought a new system from Microcenter in Texas. Got it home and did all the usual updates and Microsoft said I needed to update Win10 Home to latest version. I did so, went to finish it and activate my copy of windows and it says I have no license to activate it or that it did not recognize it. Did it lose my license when it updated? Can I go back to the old version somehow to get to my digital activation code recognized or is there a way to fix this without driving 3 hours back to Microcenter? Any help would be much appreciated.

Changing a digital copy of windows 10 pro to a new computer?

The new install will need a key for install as the digital copy of Win10 came from where? as OEM version can't be transferred, retail copies can be removed from one system and installed on a new system. here is a link to activating Windows 10

Can't activate win10 after installing new motherboard

Hi

I've tried to follow all the steps offered by Microsoft's help section but it doesn't seem to work for me.

I bought a new Motherboard which I installed and now I can't activate my Windows 10 again. I updated to Win10 quite a while ago, from win7 or 8. I also have a laptop with Win10 and on the laptop, it says my account is bounded to my digital activation but
there is no digital activation on my account and I'm using the same account for both my laptop and tabletop computer.

How do I find my digital activation and how do I activate Win10 on my table top with a new MB?

Activate digital license on a new computer

Can I activate my digital license on a new computer and how to do that? Delete Windows 10 from my old computer to free the digital license? Contact Tech Support so they will do that for me?
