Windows 10: New Computers and Microsoft Email

This problem has been persistent with Microsoft for the past few years now, and workarounds are getting more difficult. When I provision a new PC for a user at my work, part of the process is setting up a user account. Our organization uses Microsft Office 365 business licenses for our email users, which puts them under the Microsoft umbrella, yes? A few times I have attempted to add the users email to the new computer but I am ALWAYS greeted with the yellow text saying "This is not a Microsoft email, please use a proper Microsoft email" or something very similar, it's not worth my time to f

As per the issue description you have two email id's and you want to change your secondary email to primary on your pc.



I would suggest you to switch the login account to Local user account. Then switch back to Microsoft account which you want to use. You may follow the steps provided below:



Step 1: Switch to local user account

Follow these steps to create a “Local User account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• You will get an option “Switch to a Local account” right below your user account name.
• Select “Switch to a local account” option.
• Enter the required details.
• Then login to the local account and check how it works.

Step 2: Switch back to Microsoft account

Follow these steps to create a “Microsoft account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• Select “Switch to Microsoft account” right below your user account name.
• Enter the required details (Primary Email ID).
• Restart the computer and then try to login using new Primary account.

You don't make a new account & try to move your entitlements to it, you change the email address associated with the original account.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
