Windows 10: New desktop thinks it is old laptop due to recovery drive reinstallation Windows 11

So I got an Ipason desktop computer that comes with Windows 11. I also have a Lenovo Legion that is also Windows 11. The desktop opened up Windows 11 without any startup they probably sent it like that so I decided to restart it to make sure I have my own data. But it wouldn't let me restart without a recovery media and according to Recover Drive, the system was missing required files to make a recovery media. So I used my laptop. Then I loaded the desktop through the Windows 11 recovery medium and successfully reinstalled it. Except the fact that now my Ipason desktop is convinced it's manu

Reinstall Windows 10 to new hard drive

We want to know about the issue you're having with your recovery drive. Please answer the questions below:

• Are you trying to reinstall Windows 8 or Windows 10?
• If you already upgraded to Windows 10, were you able to create a new copy of the recovery drive?

We suggest creating a new copy of the recovery drive and then follow the steps provided by Andre Da Costa above this thread.

Windows 11 on my laptop thinks it’s a desktop

Recently I had a problem with windows 10 on my 2 in 1 laptop

I always use the laptop as a tablet. I rotate the screen and use the laptop flat. The screen autorotates and the hidden keyboard opens when typing. All good

Somehow windows now thinks my laptop is a desktop and there is no autorotate function and I am not able to use as a tablet as the screen will not autorotate and no hidden keyboard opens when trying to type. The only way to use the laptop is using the physical keyboard

I have undertaking the theoubleshooting including windows recovery where deleting everything and then cloud re installation. Same problem as before

I then when through the windows recovery and installed windows 11. Exactly the same problem as before where the windows version thinks that the laptop is a desktop and no autorotation is available

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Create new folder on desktop when right click new does not work

You can perform step 3 without loosing any programs or Data. If you do not use Macrium Reflect, download it and make an image of your drive before doing anything.
