Windows 10: New downloaded apps from MS Store now requires MS Store to open them

Hello everyone. I am running Win 10 Home, Version 22H2, O.S. Build 19045.2846. I noticed this morning that when I downloaded a simple App from MS Store that in order to open the App after downloading it took me to MS Store in order to get it open. I tried this with several other Apps just to test and they did the very same thing at opening the Store in order for me to open the App from the Store's Library Page. I did notice that after I deleted the Apps from my computer that I had downloaded they would appear again in the Stores Library list of installed Apps with a cloud icon and a down arro

I just added my wife, Melissa, as a new user account and now the Microsoft Store app is not even listed. When I click on adding an app from your Edge homepage it still shows the window:

I have already typed in the powershell commands suggested and restarted and its still not working. What is the next step? I am using a Dell XPS All In One that started with WIndows 8 - upgraded to 8.1 and then upgraded to WIndows 10.

Windows 10 Store not opening saying "You'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store"

Method 1: Reset the Windows store

I would suggest you reset the Windows app store and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Type, "WSReset.exe" and hit enter.
