It’s pretty amazing how much technology helps us accomplish at work. Things that used to take days now take hours, and many small tasks—like updating a spreadsheet cell—are as easy as they should be.

Still, these advances in technology have created a new set of problems. The content you need is often scattered across multiple apps. Getting work done requires constant switching between different tools, and coordinating work with your team usually means a mountain of email and meetings.

It all adds up to a lot of time and energy spent on work that isn't the actual work itself. But we’ve got a plan, and we’re excited to share how we're going to help you get a handle on all this "work about work.”

Today, we’re unveiling the new Dropbox. It’s the Dropbox you know and love, but better. It’s a single workspace to organize your content, connect your tools, and bring everyone together, wherever you are. The first thing you’ll notice is an all-new Dropbox desktop app that we’re introducing today through our early access program. It’s more than an app, though—it’s a completely new experience.

Bring your content together

Building on our history of helping organize your content, the new Dropbox brings cloud content together with traditional files so you can keep it all in one place. Now you can:

Create, access, and share cloud content like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides and Microsoft Office files within Dropbox. You can also choose to open Microsoft Office files in Office Online or the Google web editor.

Create and store shortcuts to any website alongside your content in Dropbox. Shortcuts make it easy to keep content from online project management and productivity tools—even news articles and wiki pages—together with the rest of your work in Dropbox.

Use one search box, not 10, to search across all of your content. You’ll see traditional files, cloud content, shortcuts, and files you’ve chosen not to download through our selective sync feature—all in one place.

And don’t worry—you can still organize all your work from the Dropbox folder in Windows File Explorer and macOS Finder.

Bring your tools together

Bringing all of your content together is just the start. We’re also making sure the apps you use throughout the day are an integral part of this new workspace. Building on our existing integrations with tools from companies like Salesforce, Adobe, and Autodesk, we’re introducing three new integrations. They’ll work seamlessly with Dropbox to help bring your content into context:

Collaborate with Slack. The new Dropbox and Slack integration helps bridge the gap between content and communication, letting you collaborate seamlessly on shared content. You’ll be able to start Slack conversations and share content to Slack channels directly from Dropbox.

Video conference with Zoom. By connecting Zoom and your calendar to Dropbox, you can now bring your work into video conferences. From Dropbox, you’ll be able to add and join Zoom Meetings. And during Zoom Meetings, you’ll be able to share files from your Dropbox.

Manage projects with Atlassian. Coming soon, enhanced integrations that we’re building with Atlassian will help teams more effectively manage their projects and content.

Bring everyone together

It isn’t just about content and tools. The heart of all that work is the people making it happen, so we’ve also built new features to help your team stay in sync. We’ve transformed shared folders into rich workspaces where teams can:

Get coordinated by adding descriptions to folders to help the team understand more about the work they’re doing. Key content can be highlighted by pinning it to the top of a workspace, and you can even @mention people and assign to-dos so everyone knows what happens next.

Gain visibility into the latest progress on shared work. The new Dropbox lets you see file activity—including viewer info and team collaboration on Dropbox content in Slack and Zoom—and keep tabs with a new team activity feed.

Share feedback by creating comments right alongside your content, across desktop, web, and mobile.

Take it out for a spin

Ready to try out the new Dropbox experience for yourself? All Dropbox users can opt in to the new desktop app through our early access program, and we’re rolling out the other features over the next few weeks. Deleting Dropbox

Hello Donna,

As you are issue is concerned to deleting the Dropbox, we will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the complete error message/ error code of this issue?

Are you referring to Dropbox icon/ application on Windows 10?

If you are referring to Dropbox app on your device, try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: If the Dropbox is preloaded on your desktop:

Click Start.

Click Settings.

Click System.

Click Apps & features.

Select Get Dropbox or Dropbox X GB from the application list, where "X" is the amount of space corresponding to your promotion.

Click Uninstall.

Step 2: If the Dropbox is a desktop app follow:

Press Windows + X, click on Control Panel.

Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.

Select Dropboxfrom the list of programs, and click Uninstall.

Hope it helps. Provide us additional information if you are still facing the issues with deleting the Dropbox program on your device.

Dropbox app for Windows 10 is here

The Dropbox app for Windows 10 will begin rolling out in the Windows Store this week as a free download for Windows 10 customers.

Dropbox makes it easy to view or edit your files on any device, anytime and anywhere; to privately share files of any size with anyone; and to back up your work automatically. With this new app built on the Universal Windows Platform, users will be able to take advantage of the convenience of Dropbox with great Windows 10 features such as Windows Hello, Live Tiles and Notifications.

Here are some of the new features in the Dropbox app for Windows 10:

Updated for Windows 10: Performance improvements and faster launching for our Universal Windows Platform app.

Enable Windows Hello: Add an extra layer of protection with Windows Hello, which uses either your face, fingerprint, or iris instead of your password to unlock your Dropbox*.

Quick Access to Recent Files: Using Jump List, all you have to do is right-click on the Dropbox app icon in your taskbar.

Interactive Device Notifications: Accept a shared folder invitation without opening the app with Notifications.

Quick Search: You don’t need to click on the search icon; just type what you want to search.

Drag and Drop: To move or copy a file into Dropbox, just drag and drop it from Windows File Explorer. Within the app, you can also move or copy files into other folders by dragging and dropping them between folders (hold Ctrl to copy).

Commenting: Add comments directly on your files, and bring others into the discussion with @mentions.

Mac OS X Lion With 250 New Features Available in July From Mac App Store

Apple announced that Mac OS X Lion, the eighth major release of the world’s most advanced operating system with more than 250 new features and 3,000 new developer APIs, will be available to customers in July as a download from the Mac App Store for $29.99. Some of the amazing features in Lion include: new Multi-Touch gestures; system-wide support for full screen apps; Mission Control, an innovative view of everything running on your Mac; the Mac App Store, the best place to find and explore great software, built right into the OS; Launchpad, a new home for all your apps; and a completely redesigned Mail app.

“The Mac has outpaced the PC industry every quarter for five years running and with OS X Lion we plan to keep extending our lead,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The best version of OS X yet, Lion is packed with innovative features such as new Multi-Touch gestures, system-wide support for full screen apps, and Mission Control for instantly accessing everything running on your Mac.”

New Multi-Touch gestures and fluid animations built into Lion let you interact directly with content on the screen for a more intuitive way to use your Mac. New gestures include momentum scrolling, tapping or pinching your fingers to zoom in on a web page or image, and swiping left or right to turn a page or switch between full screen apps. All Mac notebooks ship with Multi-Touch trackpads and desktop Macs can use Apple’s Magic Trackpad.

Full screen apps take advantage of the entire display and are perfect for reading email, surfing the web or browsing photos, especially on a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. With a single click your app fills the display and you can swipe from one window to another, between full screen apps, or back to your Desktop, Dashboard or Spaces without ever leaving full screen. iWork and iLife apps, as well as Safari, iTunes, Mail, FaceTime and others, all take advantage of Lion’s system-wide support for full screen apps.

Mission Control combines Exposé, full screen apps, Dashboard and Spaces into one unified experience for a bird’s eye view of every app and window running on your Mac. With a simple swipe, your desktop zooms out to display your open windows grouped by app, thumbnails of your full screen apps and your Dashboard, and allows you to instantly navigate anywhere with a tap.

The Mac App Store is built into Lion and is the best place to discover great new Mac apps, buy them with your iTunes account, download and install them. Apps automatically install directly to Launchpad, and with Lion’s release, the Mac App Store will be able to deliver smaller “delta” app updates and new apps that can take advantage of features like In-App Purchase and Push Notifications.

Launchpad makes it easier than ever to find and launch any app. With a single Multi-Touch gesture, all your Mac apps are displayed in a stunning full screen layout. You can organize apps in any order or into folders and swipe through unlimited pages of apps to find the one you want.

Lion includes a completely redesigned Mail app with an elegant widescreen layout. Pricing & Availability
Mac OS X Lion will be available in July as an upgrade to Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow Leopard from the Mac App Store for $29.99 (US). Lion will be the easiest OS X upgrade and at about 4GB, it is the size of an HD movie from the iTunes Store. Mac OS X Lion Server requires Lion and will be available in July from the Mac App Store for $49.99 (US).

Lion requires an Intel-based Mac with a Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM. The Lion upgrade can be installed on all your authorized personal Macs.

The Mac OS X Lion Up-To-Date upgrade is available at no additional charge via the Mac App Store to all customers who purchased a qualifying new Mac system from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller on or after June 6, 2011. Users must request their Up-To-Date upgrade within 30 days of purchase of their Mac computer. Customers who purchase a qualifying Mac between June 6, 2011 and the date when Lion is available in the Mac App Store will have 30 days from Lion’s official release date to make a request.
