Windows 10: New File Explorer and Save As Menu for Windows 11

Hello Microsoft Team,I have made a concept of File Explorer and Save As Menu by me. It looks like an updated version and matches to the new UI of Windows 11. I have been inspired by the new Settings App of Windows 11 and created this concept. It has rounded corners in all areas where the current File Explorer doesn't has. I have also made a new Save As Menu Concept for matching the New UI of Windows 11. How do I tell Internet Explorer 11 to always save (only save) a certain filetype without asking me first?

Hi Ladislav,

To address this concern, we suggest that you follow these steps on how to automatically save a file in Internet Explorer 11:

• In Internet Explorer 11, you'll have to click first on a file of the type you want to open automatically.
• This will show you the Open/Save prompt.
• Select the Save option.
• In Internet Explorer, click Tools.
• Click the View Download options.
• You will see a popup containing the file that you downloaded.
• Make sure to uncheck the option "Always ask before opening this type of file."

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

The idea: the right-click menu for folders in File Explorer has an option called 'Open in new window', which opens that folder in a new File Explorer window. Very useful for copying and moving things, and opening destination folders without accessing the start menu a second time.
