Windows 10: New files not appearing in File Explorer- Windows 11

When I save a new Word doc or PDF, it will take hours or days for me to be able to access it in File Explorer. It just doesn't appear. I'm in Windows 11. How can I fix this?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I did actually just attempt restarting Windows Explorer process but alas no dice. Your reply was very timely as I've dived back into the rabbit hole.

I've rebooted all jump lists by deleting automatic destination files and that seems to have fixed it!

There were a handful of documents that did not wish to appear in the recent list (odd!) but when I saved-as new files, the new files appeared in the jump list.
