Windows 10: New Findings to the Slow AD Login with Windows 10

So some time back I posted a question about slow AD login issues.Slow AD login on Windows 10 - Microsoft CommunityI recently have obtained new information. Our issue started when we when to Window 10 LTSC in our manufacturing facility. These systems would randomly experience a 2 minute delay trying to login with "Other User" at the login screen. Being manufacturing they were restricted from internet access. After working with Microsoft support it was determined these AD attached devices were also reaching out to Azure AD by default. Windows 10 Very Slow Login

Hi Arul,

What's with the slow login and unlocking in Windows 10? We're still suffering with the issue, we're using high end PCs, overclocked ones with SSDs and paid that much for speed, and Windows 10 comes to slow down our machines?!

Please raise this issue to higher level management or someone who can take a real step in fixing the issue ASAP.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to select the appropriate language in login screen at the bottom right corner and check if it helps.

Steps 2: Use On-screen keyboard in the login screen to login and check if it helps.
