Windows 10: New gateway laptop, running windows 11 with an external monitor. Erratic mouse operatio

I have a new gateway laptop Running windows 11. I use an external monitor. When I close the laptop lid, the mouse becomes erratic. Sometimes not too much, other times so bad that I can not do any work. I reloaded mouse drivers and bluetooth drivers with no effect.if I open the lid, the mouse clears up. Turning off the touchpad has no effectProblems are; The cursor jumps to the top of the screen, or clicks the select button, or drops it... this results in chaotic operation.... imaging working with Excell

how to use Windows 11 laptop with external monitor, keyboard and mouse?

Setting: Dell laptop (now Windows 11) with external monitor and wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse.

It's a configuration many use, and it all worked well in Windows 10.

Now in 11, we first encountered a problem getting the external monitor to display when closing the laptop lid. This was handled with changing power setting at "when I close the lid" to "do nothing"; We were enthused when after closing the lid the external monitor did indeed stay on.

That however quickly reverted to dismay when we found that the external keyboard and mouse DID NOT work. Yes, you have to open the lid and use the touchpad on the laptop's display.

How to get the keyboard and mouse working with the lid down?

Can anyone advise?

Mouse lag when laptop is hooked up to an external monitor

Hi guys,

I currently have a problem and I'm not to sure if it is a harddrive issue or software issue. Anyway, I have a new Asus laptop that runs on Windows 10. When I plug my laptop into an external 27" AOC monitor via HDMI cable my logitech wireless mouse seems
to be lagging quite a bit. I will move it physically across the mouse pad and the cursor on the screen will either move erratically in small burst or will not move at all. I currently set my monitors so it only displays on my second monitor (Laptop closed),
but when I open the laptop and use the track pad the cursor seems to be working fine.

Please help me, it has made my work productivity a complete nightmare.

Windows 11 Laptop not able to detect External Monitor LG24GN650

I am not able to detect my external monitor on windows 11 specifically. There is no physical connection issue as the monitor works when I connect it to another device operating on windows 10. There is also not any issue with my Windows 11 laptop's HDMI port as it works on other displays as well. It means the issue is specifically with the LG driver.

I have tried the following methods to solve the issue but was unsuccessful:

1. Updated intel and nvidia graphics driver
   
2. Updated Windows 11
   
3. Updated display driver from Device manager
   

As the monitor was not able to auto-detect I tried running the monitor driver exe file but it was showing error "Monitor is not LG manufactured"
