Windows 10: New Install - Quickie Question

Hi all.

following my other thread, i'm going to stick Win on a new SDD, see how that goes. i've got a Rufus disc of 1909 from Nov 19, as that was the build my puter was on, so there'll be a bunch of downloads to catch up w/. so, so i put on the OS and let windows do all its updates before or after i put in the mobo's driver disc?

New Install - Quickie Question

last i'd heard, 2004 was pretty dodgy, so i haven't downloaded that. the original plot was to keep my drive and get the most recent 1909 ISO so i could do an OTT/repair. eventually, i realised i might as well just stop trying to be clever and decided to put a fresh intall on a new drive, so i just used the 1909.
it's actually gone on pretty damn fast, i can't recall what happened last time i built her [5 years ago] but there was something w/ the activation that had me on a call w/ microsoft for about 45 min :-/ chugging through the Updates now, wasn't as bad as the last time i did this, lol:




about the only thing i need to do now, aside from reinstalling my bits and pieces, is set up and try the wifi from the mobo.

 

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
