Windows 10: New installation Win 11 Pro and RDP

Hi All,Today I installed a copy of Win 11 Pro on a new SSD in my PC. I used my Microsoft account as the log in also I'm admin.Post instillation, I ran windows update.I next enabled Remote desktop and network discovery.I have attempted to remote desktop this Win 11 install from another Win 11 PC and I cannot figure out what the user-name and password for RDP should be. I assume it would be the same as my windows account login.During the install of Win 11, I was never asked to create a password. When I entered my Microsoft Account usernameemail, it used MS authenticator on my phone to verify

RDP stopped working after Win 11 Pro activation

I initially upgraded my new Win 11 Home to Pro. After using RDP to set it up, the new user activated Win 11 Pro and RDP stopped working.

 

Share files Win 10 Pro to Win 11 Home?

I have a new laptop with Win 11 Home, and I need full access to files and drives on my Win 10 Home Desktop.

1) Both computers on the same network: If I upgrade the Desktop to Win10 Pro, will I have full read/write access to those using the Win 11 Home Laptop or do I have to upgrade both to Pro?

2) Same question if I enable RDP and set up remote access...will a "Home" version be able to access a "Pro" version remotely?

I can't seem to get answers to these specific questions...thanks in advance.

 

Weird RDP behavior in Windows 11

Hi,

what's wrong with RDP in Windows 11? I've never had so many problems with RDP in all computers together, than now with one single Windows 11 PC. I have service PC, which is always on for RDP purposes, so I can login remotely from field. Upgraded it to Windows 11 and I regret decision.

What's happening?

Well, as I am always logged-in and have really gozillion of apps opened, I only lock computer, so I can work on those apps via RDP all the time. But now with Windows 11 it is not possible anymore:

• SOMETIMES I land in new profile, empty login, while my active login I can see under logged-in users and I CAN switch to this login.
  
• OTHER TIMES I land in new profile, empty login, and there's no sign of my business login, all apps are closed and it goes up to 100 f-words per minute, as I need to reopen all tasks again.
  
• But when I come back from field to this PC, I cannot login back to any session I opened via RDP, but can only login to empty login, and here goes opening all apps again and neighbors can hear my yelling
  

How can I switch back this stupid RDP behavior back to how it worked in Windows 10?
