Windows 10: New KB3081449, KB3081452, and KB3081448 Updates for Windows 8-27-2015

The next update was released today. Fixed? I don't think so..

 

We basically just talking about with updates or is this a regular occurrence when you boot up ? Restarts is when see the blue screen with the circle occurs just as it is restarting. Mine jump after blue screen to black then show my Motherboard logo with white dot circle then go to the lock screen. When update being configured during restart is this when it is black ?

 

There are 8 computers in our home used by 4 people (4 desktops and 4 laptops, all different models). All are using Windows 10 with no issues whatsoever. I can only speak to what I have observed.

 

All I can say is that with Windows 7, when it booted I got the Bios logo then it went directly into the boot menu without a 2 or 3 second black screen. I am glad for you Antelope but I have some issues with updates, while it is updating, the update process is block by a black screen. I am not the only one that has had this problem. It has been posted before. It is not really a problem , it is end issue where MS does not want the end user to see what is going on. So you have 4 people using 8 computers, 2 for everyone. Well Here we have two people with two PC's. Once widows boots, I have no problems. My problem is with MS and not my machine./

 

Just downloaded and caused blue screen during reboot. Only 2 patches for me, also.

 

Third patch just downloaded and it also crashed my computer, too. Just when I thought things were going well!

KB3081449: This update improves the Windows 10 out-of-box experience (OOBE). This update applies only to the Windows 10 OOBE process and will be available only at the time that OOBE updates are installed. Therefore, we recommend that you install any language packs that you need before you install this update.

KB3081452: This update makes improvements to ease the upgrade experience to Windows 10. Important If you install a language pack after you install this update, you must reinstall this update. updated mine ok... I too have issue with a blank screen between hp logo at initial boot or reboot then a 5 or 10 second delay before the blue screen with the windows 10 circle then I can login in.... total boot to login time about 2 or 3 minutes...I didn't have this issue with 8.1

 

Had to install the other two before KB3081448 showed up.

Only blue screen I see is the Windows Update one... I restart my computer, it shows up, my computer restarts, goes through the POST and stuff, what would be the boot screen is replaced by my motherboard's logo and then my screen goes black for a second as it cycles through the various input types, which now takes only a mere second, then the blue update screen comes up, then it loads right to the lock screen.

I get no such options after updating and I'm on WiFi.

 

I've noticed that black screen effect. The only times I've seen it happen is after downloading updates that require a restart. After it applies the updates, all of the boot/reboot times go back to normal.

 

It is really prevalent when you upgrade. It seems like MS is trying to hide something. I sent something to MS about this, it probably went in the circular file.

 

2 desktop (clean install) & 1 laptop (update from win 8.1) installed these updates without issue.

 

Well same thing happens with last 2 updates from MS to me also. But I don't think MS is hiding anything, reason being is when it goes to the black screen on my computer, my hard drive lite never flashes or even a small flicker!! That means to me that its just frozen after rebooting. I turn it off at that point, then turn back on and it finishes updating on my screen which I CAN see.

 

Well you see that is my point. My PC does not freeze but how can one tell? I did what you did and completely ruined an upgrade as I thought nothing was happening. This needs to be corrected.

 

How you should be able to tell Gary is just watch your hard drive lite, far as I know every computer has one. Ok don't know if laptops do, cause I don't like them. but I would think even lap tops must have a lite for hard drive activity.
