Windows 10: new lap top set up with family microsoft account / subscription instead of business account

Hi thereI have bought a new lap top HP EvoI set it up tonight but used my family account - so the hard drive and one drive is set up to my family microsoft account. I also have an associated work account with it's own one drive - but now this lap top is not set up to this account, rather, the family one drive and hard drive c:/ Can I change this? I do not have a business microsoft account I just have a family account underwhich I added my business email account etc. Hope I"m making sense. Basically, I've set up my work laptop as my family lap top using my family microsoft 365 account. Do I nee

How to delete the Default Microsoft account linked to Lap Top

I created a Microsoft account to use on a new lap top with windows 10, a year ago and also subscribed to Microsoft Office 365. I now have Microsoft office 365 Business under a totally new Microsoft account and a new email.

How do I completely remove the first account that is linked with windows 10 in my lap top? I turn on and it is this first account, office etc. eveything is linked to this account I closed the account and in 60 days it will be gone. I want to switch
and only use my new business account.

How do I do that?

Will I loose the .pst file ? any of my other files and folders ?

Setting up microsoft accounts for family safety - Windows 10

thanks for the reply, but having tried everything you suggested - again. I had tried all these things initially and only raised the question when I ran out of things to try!

I still get the same problem. When attempting to following the steps below, the problem occurs at step 3 - when trying to "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead". This is where the unhelpful "Oops something went wrong" message occurs when entering the
windows password "for the last time".

The child's Microsoft account does exist, and I can log in to it via a web browser, but I don't seem to be able to link it to the account he logs in to the PC with. The troubleshooter just detects the fact that he is not logged in with a Microsoft account
(I ran this with both my account, which is fine, and then when logged in with the child's account)!

Check your child’s account on the PC that your child uses

  Have your child sign in to the PC.
