    New Laptop Accidentally Set Up With Wrong Microsoft Account


    I have just purchased a new HP laptop (Windows 10).

    During setup I accidentally used an existing family Microsoft Account; however this is mainly associated with my son’s Xbox Gold (account), thus when trying to access software like Outlook, etcetera they open up acknowledging his username etc. This was also the case when I first used the laptop but I have managed to change the local settings so that the device now boots up / welcomes me with my name. Will it be possible to create a new Microsoft Account and use that so that the laptop & software is exclusively set up in my name?

    Accidental removal laptop from Microsoft account

    To answer your query, we suggest that you create a new local account then associate it to your Microsoft account. That's the time you can access your laptop using the Microsoft account.

    Steps on creating a new local user are found on this link.

    Hello,

    I have several laptop's and desktop that ive logged my Microsoft account onto and I was recently going to sell one of my laptops and without being on the laptop that needed to be removed I accidentally remove the wrong laptop from my Microsoft
    account now I can no longer log into it what do I do?

    Unable to Open a Microsoft Developer Account when location is set to New Zealand

    Can someone at Microsoft please just try the following steps...

    • Click "Sign up to Microsoft Developer Account
    • Login with Microsoft Account
    • Choose my Location (New Zealand)
    • Choose type of account (Company)
    • Put in my contact Details
    • Put in Company Approver Details
    • Click next and then you'll get the error message (Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.)

    I am going round and round without getting anywhere, NO ONE THAT SETS THEIR COUNTRY TO NEW ZEALAND WILL BE ABLE TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT
