    New laptop have the locker trojan on it?


    New laptop from Costco. Went through the initial startup, adding no apps and removing none either. Opened the New Outlook app to setup. I then get the trojan:slocker phishing pop-up. How the heck is this possible with a new machine with a new install?

    New Trojan that Demands a Ransom

    There is a new virus out there discovered by virus hunters known as "Cryzip". The Trojan encrypts your files and then demands a $300 ransom for the decryption password to get your files back. After encrypting the files, the virus leaves a nice step-by-step guide of how to go about paying the ransom off. It's supposedly spread through email Spam, and has successfully evaded anti-virus scanners.

    Hard drive installed in new laptop. Bit Locker error occuring.

    Hard drive installed in new laptop. Bit Locker error occurring. Will clearing the TPM and suspending/resuming Bit Locker resolve the issue?

    Bit Locker Q: New Dell Laptop with Windows 10 with SSD, all updated to Creator Version as of 12/25/17 and all drivers updated from Dell, I see Bit Locker is enabled but OS C: drive has lock in unlocked position? Is bit locker actually enabled? Is it
    better to disable? this a personal machine.
